Area of Interest
2025 Concept · Motion · BrandingAn area of interest is a specific field, subject, or place that draws particular attention from an individual or group.
Area of Interest is a protest-driven project that examines the concept from a personal and social perspective through an installation of protruding forms representing a pregnant belly, covered with everyday phrases and remarks commonly directed at women.
A woman’s womb repeatedly becomes a subject of interest for both those close to her and the wider public, often in intrusive, judgmental, and insensitive ways.
The project offers a new perspective on the boundaries between private and public space, asking: how did a woman’s most intimate space become a subject of public discourse?
